Tele-Monkey Wins The Malta Innovation Award
25 February 2012

Shadeena Films is very happy to announce news of the first award won by Tele-Monkey – The Malta Innovation Award. Won even before the film is released to general audiences (the short film premieres this March). The Malta Innovation Awards is an annual recognition of the efforts by individuals or companies who have taken their ideas and concepts a step forward in the local industry. That certainly fits the bill for Tele-Monkey, being the very first CG animated short film in Malta to be in 3D.

The award ceremony was held at the Corinthia Palace Hotel last Thursday. Martin Bonniċi, Writer, Director and Producer of Tele-Monkey, was given the award by MP Hon. Jason Azzopardi. Followed by the World Intellectual Property Organisation award given by Sir Francis Gurry, Director General of WIPO. Martin expressed his appreciation for the recognition: "I'm very happy that the work we've put into Tele-Monkey was recognised by this award and would like to thank the whole team and all our sponsors for their support. For Shadeena Films, Tele-Monkey is just the beginning and we look forward to producing more award winning projects in the coming years. We'd like to thank the organisers of this award for accepting our work and the evaluators for giving us this award."
